Kulturjakten
Use cases

It's made forthe friend group

The same tool, many occasions. Kulturjakten fits a group of friends, a solo walk, a date or a family day in town, just as well as the classroom, the culture day and the tourist. Here are some ways municipalities put Kulturjakten to use.

A school class is split into teams competing to find the most cultural treasures nearby. The teacher gets a ready-made, place-based activity that ties the curriculum to where the pupils live, without having to plan everything alone. The pupils move around outdoors, cooperate in teams and learn local history while competing. The quiz questions at each treasure make it easy to connect the experience to what the class is working on.

On a shared culture day, residents of all ages explore local history together. The municipality sets up a route in advance, and people walk it at their own pace. Grandparents walk with grandchildren, neighbours meet along the route, and everyone gets a new reason to see the local area with fresh eyes. The event requires little from the municipality, since the content is already in the app and can be reused year after year.

02

Visitors find the sights on their own, without a guide and without opening hours. Kulturjakten becomes a self-service tourist guide available around the clock, in both Norwegian and English. Guests stay longer when there is more to discover, and they move between the cultural sites past cafes, shops and museums. In this way the cultural heritage also creates ripple effects for local businesses.

03

For places like Ulvik, with a distinct character, Kulturjakten becomes a way to gather and share local heritage and build pride among residents. The stories of fruit farming, poetry and village life get a channel where they are actually found and experienced. Local associations, museums and enthusiasts can contribute content, and the stories stay available for the next generation and for everyone who comes to visit.
